According to dictionary.com, a freelancer is “a person who works as a writer, designer, performer, or the like, selling work or services by the hour, day, job, etc., rather than working on a regular salary basis for one employer.”
on the other side an agency , is “an organization, company or bureau that provides some service for another.” Typically an agency is comprised of individuals who may be specialists in their respective fields (graphic design, website development, marketing, writing, etc.) and fulfill specific roles for each project while following established processes under a clear chain of command.
Who offers better quality?
Agencies usually tend to provide superior quality to earn good testimonials and reputation. However, there are many unfair and negligent agencies out there.Freelancers also will need your referral for future clients but are a lot more instable. To protect yourself, ask who you hire to show you results at particular periods during all the working time. If possible, divide the work into several blocks and see them when they’re done. This allows you to see at the beginning if there’s something wrong with the quality.
Do I get support or customer services?
The best advantage of working with company is that you usually get support services after the work is finished. People who developed your project from the very beginning and are familiar with each detail of it, can make changes or fix mistakes much quicker and better than anybody else. Some freelancers also provide customers with ongoing support, but companies are definitely faster.
